If they\u2019re going to pay you enough, then you overlook some of the glitches in the script that happen to be there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fair enough.<\/p>\n<p>Freeman did add that he\u2019ll speak up when something in a script doesn\u2019t sit right with him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSometimes you can mention things that are in the script that don\u2019t quite work out for you and by and large, that gets worked out,\u201d the Oscar winner said.<\/p>\n<p>At 89, Freeman has little left to prove. He\u2019s a five-time Oscar nominee who won Best Supporting Actor for <em><a href=\"https:\/\/decider.com\/movie\/million-dollar-baby\/\">Million Dollar Baby<\/a><\/em>, and he\u2019s still adding new credits to an already lengthy r\u00e9sum\u00e9. His most recent movie was 2025\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/decider.com\/movie\/now-you-see-me-now-you-dont\/\">Now You See Me: Now You Don\u2019t<\/a><\/em>, in which he once again played Thaddeus Bradley, a role he\u2019s held throughout the magician franchise.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s one of several major franchises Freeman has been part of, along with <a href=\"https:\/\/decider.com\/tag\/christopher-nolan\/\">Christopher Nolan<\/a>\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/decider.com\/movie\/the-dark-knight\/\">The Dark Knight<\/a><\/em> trilogy, where he played Lucius Fox.<\/p>\n<p>And don\u2019t expect him to call it quits anytime soon.<\/p>\n<p>Freeman recently told The Times that he shares <a href=\"https:\/\/decider.com\/tag\/clint-eastwood\/\">Clint Eastwood<\/a>\u2019s philosophy when it comes to getting older and continuing to work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m like Clint Eastwood on that: Don\u2019t let the old man in,\u201d Freeman told The Times about continuing to act as he nears 90 years old. \u201cSo, keep working. If you can get out of bed and don\u2019t fall down when you do it, then you just count your blessings and keep moving. So, I\u2019ll work as long as I can \u2014 as long as somebody says, \u2018Do you want to do this part?\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s said essentially the same thing before. In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/film\/ng-interactive\/2025\/nov\/10\/morgan-freeman-interview-nelson-mandela-six-decades-on-screen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">The Guardian<\/a>, Freeman dismissed the idea of retirement, saying: \u201cSometimes the idea of retirement would float past me but, as soon as my agent says there\u2019s a job or somebody wants you or they\u2019ve made an offer, the whole thing just boils back into where it was yesterday: how much you\u2019re going to pay, where we\u2019re gonna be?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So, yes, Freeman has a price.
