A few more years went by, and I was doomscrolling on Facebook. I clicked on one of my new friends&#8217; pages and started looking at her friends list. I saw a picture of a guy who looked familiar, but I couldn&#8217;t quite place him. I clicked on his page, and it turns out he was at a fundraiser I helped with, so that explained it. As I was about to click out of his page, I saw in the profile section that he&#8217;s married to my childhood friend from across the street! And they only live an hour from me! A few weekends later, he helped me surprise her by just stopping by.
