1,000 residents, making them a region the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/tag\/aba\/\">American Bar Association<\/a> refers to as a \u201clegal desert.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new option for admission to the practice of law also has the potential to increase the number of attorneys in New \u2060Mexico to address unmet legal needs, particularly in rural areas where it is difficult to find a lawyer,\u201d New Mexico Chief Justice Julie Vargas said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>New Mexico now joins six other states \u2014 Oregon,\u00a0Washington, Arizona,\u00a0South Dakota, Utah
