I need all of you to get out there this weekend and RESPECT SUMMER, respect August and live like humans used to live in August.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\" class=\"speakable\">Ladies, please, it&#8217;s not pumpkin spice latte season. I get that your kids might be back in school, or headed back this week, but IT&#8217;S NOT FALL. That said, today&#8217;s edition is dedicated to remembering what summer Saturdays are all about.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Let&#8217;s start with <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_outkick-sports_article_main-content_article-body_6_11997\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/us-regions\/midwest\/michigan\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Mackinac Island<\/a> and this controversy that has exploded where this Democratic Socialist, or extremist, or whatever we&#8217;re calling El-Sayed, seems to have an issue with Mackinac Island.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\"><a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_outkick-sports_article_main-content_article-body_6_11998\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/unearthed-clip-el-sayed-revealing-hate-iconic-michigan-town-sparks-online-firestorm-dark-heart\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>UNEARTHED CLIP OF EL-SAYED REVEALING HIS &#8216;HATE&#8217; FOR ICONIC MICHIGAN TOWN SPARKS ONLINE FIRESTORM: &#8216;DARK HEART&#8217;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">This might be one of the most un-American things I&#8217;ve ever heard. I was just there with Mrs. Screencaps, Screencaps Jr. and Screencaps the III. We even went on the self-guided horse carriage ride where Mrs. Screencaps held the horse reins as we went on an hour-long ride past the Grand Hotel and weaved our way through idyllic grounds.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Was El-Sayed misquoted? Was there missing context? I guess not. He hopped on Twitter last night and didn&#8217;t say he was misquoted, or misunderstood. &#8220;I don\u2019t think the most &#8216;American place in MI&#8217; can be a place that\u2026bans cars,&#8221; he tweeted.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">That was it. He didn&#8217;t clarify his remarks about <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_outkick-sports_article_main-content_article-body_6_11999\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/unearthed-clip-el-sayed-revealing-hate-iconic-michigan-town-sparks-online-firestorm-dark-heart\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">hating Mackinac<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Don&#8217;t take my word for it that Mackinac is an incredible slice of Americana. Take the word of an extremist who wants to destroy the fabric of this country. She sang the national anthem at a Dodgers game last week. Then I learned she&#8217;s dating a Tampa Bay tight end. As I told you guys, it just feels like we could have a breakout star on our hands, but this news that she had a sweater over her shoulders at Bucs camp concerns me.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Is Macy Kate down with RESPECTING SUMMER or is she indicating that she&#8217;s ready for football season TOO SOON? The season doesn&#8217;t kick off until September, Macy Kate.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\"><strong>\u2013 Jess in <\/strong><a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_outkick-sports_article_main-content_article-body_6_12008\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/us-regions\/southeast\/alabama\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Alabama<\/strong><\/a><strong> (verified Screencaps legend; I met Jess a few years back at a Screencaps meet up in Birmingham) writes:<\/strong> <em>School districts vary a LOT (that\u2019s obvious, just something to keep in mind). I\u2019ve taught for over a decade, only in the South (so my experience is very different than in unioned\/lib places like Chicago).<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\"><em>Many <\/em><a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_outkick-sports_article_main-content_article-body_6_12009\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/long-island-pta-mom-accused-stealing-50k-elementary-school-served-nypd-officer\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>schools give teachers<\/em><\/a><em> around $100-$200 for their classrooms for the school year. Obviously that money only stretches so far. My school would always provide some things, but not a lot and not very quality (those thin cardboardish tissues\u2026 some kids will just wipe noses on their shirts before using them). Also, look at class sizes at your kids\u2019 school. I\u2019d usually have classes (middle school) of 30+ kids, totaling 120ish students on my roster. You can fly through supplies fast; I always end up spending my own money in the spring.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\"><a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_outkick-sports_article_main-content_article-body_6_12010\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/sports\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\"><em>I say all that just to provide teacher perspective. But I agree that some school stuff is excessive and exhausting. An incredible teacher I know would always remind other teachers to ask, &#8220;Why are we here? Why are we doing this?&#8221; And if it\u2019s not to help the students, then don\u2019t. Those are great questions to ask before sending this stuff home to parents.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">At first, I thought this was fake because the first screencap I saw came from some random account. Then I saw Dakich&#8217;s buddy Jason Hammer post it.
