police official accused of driving the getaway car for her son&#8217;s alleged gang shooting reportedly had connections to the mayor&#8217;s office when she landed the leadership role.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\" class=\"speakable\">Court records indicate Jennifer Lackard, 49, and her son Chase, 20, were both <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_us_article_main-content_article-body_6_1067333\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/new-york-police-official-accused-driving-getaway-car-son-gang-related-shooting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">arrested<\/a> by the New York Police Department on Tuesday in connection with a June 29 drive-by shooting at rival gang members near the Bronx Criminal Court.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Prior to her arrest, Lackard worked as the deputy commissioner of wellness for the <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_us_article_main-content_article-body_6_1067334\"
