style=\"font-weight:400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sam Meranto<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight:400\">, a local Phoenix celebrity who rose to prominence for his self-help infomercials, and his wife of nearly 45 years <\/span><strong>Cynthia Meranto<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> are currently fighting for control over their $2.6 million estate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">According to Maricopa County Probate Court records obtained by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azcentral.com\/story\/news\/local\/arizona-health\/2026\/08\/05\/arizona-infomercial-king-sam-meranto-in-guardianship-dispute\/90483616007\/?gnt-cfr=1&amp;gca-cat=p&amp;gca-uir=false&amp;gca-epti=z11xx62p119650l117850c119650e1174xxv11xx62&amp;gca-ft=31&amp;gca-ds=sophi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer\"><em><span style=\"font-weight:400\">The Arizona Republic<\/span><\/em><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400\">, Sam, 94, as well as his three living children <\/span><strong>Jeffrey \u201cRico\u201d Meranto<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight:400\">, <\/span><strong>April Meranto <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight:400\">and <\/span><strong>Jason Meranto<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight:400\">\u2014he welcomed six kids with his first wife <\/span><strong>Maria Meranto<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight:400\">\u2014have alleged that he is \u201cterrified\u201d of Cynthia\u2019s effort to place him in a guardianship and conservatorship that will \u201cdeprive him of money, friendships and family.\u201d They further expressed fear he will be \u201csent to a facility to die.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Cynthia, for her part, has stated in court documents obtained by<\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> The Arizona Republic<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> that her husband is \u201cunable to make meaningful decisions regarding his care and finance,\u201d and
