Austin is sharing his feelings on not being invited to partake in the revival series days after its series finale. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cTo all the <em>Wizards<\/em> fans, just wanted to say for the record how disappointed I am to have not been included in the spinoff,\u201d Austin wrote on his Instagram Story on Thursday, per <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/jake-t-austin-speaks-out-after-being-left-out-of-wizards-beyond-waverly-place-12036288\">People<\/a><\/em>. \u201cI was asked back in 2020 if I was interested in reprising my role and said that I was 100% in. Unfortunately, the powers that be decided to take the show in a different direction and my character wasn\u2019t part of the equation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHe continued, \u201cEven though I wasn\u2019t involved, I still have nothing but love for my former castmates and wish them continued success. Thank you to all the fans who watched over the years. The show wouldn\u2019t be what it is without your endless support.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/wizards-beyond-waverly-place\/\" id=\"auto-tag_wizards-beyond-waverly-place_1\" data-tag=\"wizards-beyond-waverly-place\">Wizards Beyond Waverly Place<\/a><\/em> debuted in 2024 and ran for three seasons, finishing out its last installment on Tuesday. Austin, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/selena-gomez\/\" id=\"auto-tag_selena-gomez_1\" data-tag=\"selena-gomez\">Selena Gomez<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/david-henrie\/\" id=\"auto-tag_david-henrie_1\" data-tag=\"david-henrie\">David Henrie<\/a> starred in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/disney-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_disney-2_1\" data-tag=\"disney-2\">Disney<\/a> Channel series from 2007-2012, where they led the series as the wizardous Russo siblings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tBoth Russo siblings, portrayed by Gomez and Henrie, returned for the revival and executive produced the series. Their onscreen parents, David DeLuise and Maria Canals-Barrera, also reprised their roles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAustin\u2019s claims contrast with what Henrie told <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/1279243\/wizards-beyond-waverly-place-davie-henrie-exclusive-max-mason-death\/\">TV Insider<\/a><\/em> in a Wednesday interview. When asked if the actor was asked back, Henrie said, \u201cHe definitely was. Yeah.
