We\u2019re great friends. Lena Dunham, for example, starred in one episode of Cult [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Though he was interested in collaborating with Grande, Murphy also wanted \u201cto be respectful,\u201d adding, \u201cWho is busier than Ariana Grande? No one. She had told me at the time, \u2018I have this album that\u2019s dropping.\u2019 It was really, truly a scheduling conflict.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cAriana is a big fan of horror. She\u2019s obviously done homages [to] that in her work; she did Scream Queens for me and loved the experience, and people love her in that show. I think the world of her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>News broke last month that the singer would not appear on the upcoming 13th season of <em>AHS<\/em>. Grande\u2019s schedule has been packed after the release of <em>Wicked<\/em> and <em>Wicked: For Good<\/em>. She also has <em>Focker-in-Law<\/em> coming out in November following the end of her Eternal Sunshine Tour.<\/p>\n<p>Murphy\u2019s comments come shortly after a rep for Grande announced she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/ariana-grande-marks-end-of-north-american-leg-of-her-tour\/\">would be stepping back<\/a> from the public eye.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny,\u201d read a statement shared on Sunday, August 2. \u201cThis tour has been a beautiful experience for her.
