They briefly interacted at a memorial event for Christine McVie in January 2023, but otherwise had no communication since Buckingham was removed from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/fleetwood-mac\/\" id=\"auto-tag_fleetwood-mac\" data-tag=\"fleetwood-mac\">Fleetwood Mac<\/a> in 2018, sparking a legally battle that was eventually settled out of court.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cThe only time I\u2019ve spoken to Lindsey was [at McVie\u2019s memorial], for about three minutes,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/stevie-nicks-fleetwood-mac-kamala-harris-new-music-1235140437\/\">Nicks told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> in 2024.<\/a> \u201cI dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could. You could not say that I did not give him more than 300 million chances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tBut in October 2025, Nicks revealed that the number grew to 300 million and one when she was <a href=\"https:\/\/au.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/stevie-nicks-lindsey-buckingham-song-exploder-86387\/\">interviewed on the <em>Song Exploder<\/em> podcast.<\/a> \u201cLindsey and I started talking about [the night we met in 1966] last night,\u201d Nicks said. \u201cThis whole thing seems really like yesterday to us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tAnd in March of this year, Buckingham said the recent reissue of the 1973 <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/buckingham-nicks-review-1235429410\/\">Buckingham Nicks<\/a><\/em> album drew them back together. \u201cWhat that translates to specifically, I wouldn\u2019t want to speculate yet,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/lindsey-buckingham-plans-stevie-nicks-1235538820\/\">he said. <\/a>\u201cBut I believe with all my heart, it will translate to something good, and something wonderful, and something needed and something extremely appropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThese were very tantalizing words that generated tremendous excitement in the Fleetwood Mac fan community. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1434745\/lindsey-buckingham-update-on-stevie-nicks-fleetwood-mac-drama\">And in a new interview with <em>E!,<\/em> <\/a>Buckingham again hinted at a future project with Nicks, seemingly tied to the release of an upcoming documentary about Fleetwood Mac\u2019s history directed by Frank Marshall.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cI think the process of making that has been a very circular healing process for all of us,\u201d said Buckingham, who dodged a question about a possible tour, instead saying the \u201cthe mort important thing\u201d was the fact they\u2019re reconciled. \u201cBecause we had left things in 2019, maybe as far as I was concerned, not in a very good place for all the wrong reasons,\u201d he said. \u201cNo one was happy about it, and all of that has been healed and worked out.\u201d<\/p>\n<section class=\"brands-most-popular \/\/ editors-pick-module lrv-u-margin-tb-2 lrv-u-border-a-2 u-box-shadow-5-5 lrv-u-padding-lr-1 a-span1 u-padding-b-1@tablet u-overflow-hidden\">\n<h2 id=\"section-heading\" class=\"c-heading larva  lrv-u-text-align-center u-border-color-black a-font-theme-primary-xxs lrv-u-color-black lrv-u-text-transform-uppercase u-letter-spacing-0063 lrv-u-padding-t-050 u-padding-b-0375@tablet lrv-u-padding-b-050@mobile-max lrv-u-border-b-2\">\n<p>\t\tEditor\u2019s picks<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n<\/section>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cStevie and I are talking all the time now,\u201d he added. \u201cNext year should be a pretty interesting year, because I think quite a few things will reveal themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tNext year will mark the 50th anniversary of Fleetwood Mac\u2019s landmark 1977 LP <em>Rumours<\/em>. But any sort of tour that brought Nicks and Buckingham back onto the same stage for the first time since 2018 would be a major event that could pack arenas and stadiums all across the globe.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIt\u2019s worth noting that Nicks hasn\u2019t played a solo show since April, and her concert calendar is totally blank. Is she resting up and preparing for a \u201cpretty interesting\u201d tour with Buckingham?
