Police discovered his body while conducting a welfare check after concerned family members reported not being able to reach him. An investigation is now underway.<\/p>\n<p>Coulibaly had recently been named in a Barron\u2019s investigative article as the alleged organizer of a scheme that convinced athletes to invest in what appeared to be thriving e-commerce shops. The sales figures investors saw were allegedly fabricated, and the entries were \u201c<strong>manually input by somebody with access to the backend of these stores<\/strong>\u201d to make the businesses appear profitable. Former #NewYorkGiants linebacker <strong>Tae Crowder<\/strong> reportedly put his entire $500,000 savings into one of Coulibaly\u2019s ventures after being introduced through a mutual friend.<\/p>\n<p>Coulibaly had pushed back on the scam allegations earlier this year, telling Barron\u2019s the reporting stemmed from a misunderstanding of the technology and that investors hadn\u2019t been paid because he himself was still waiting on funds from a pending acquisition of his company.
