She was very at peace. She was like, &#8216;OK, I understand,'&#8221; Austin told <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/influencer-sydney-towles-brother-speaks-out-about-her-death-at-26-exclusive-12035699\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer\"><em>People<\/em><\/a> Aug. 6 after the family announced the heartbreaking news. &#8220;I think she had just been so exhausted up to that point that it is what it is.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Two days before her passing, Austin updated Sydney&#8217;s million-plus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@austin_towle\/photo\/7670318059533471007\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer\">TikTok<\/a> followers that the social media star had been &#8220;moved to hospice and is surrounded by her friends and family.&#8221; Though she promoted positivity through every stage of her health, Sydney said that her cholangiocarcinoma, which spreads in the tubes of the digestive system per the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/cholangiocarcinoma\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20352408\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer\">Mayo Clinic<\/a>, had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DYmgrDKpubK\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer\">progressed in May<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><script async src=\"\/\/www.tiktok.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<br \/><script async=\"async\" data-cfasync=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/pl30214220.effectivecpmnetwork.com\/9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<div id=\"container-9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\"><\/div>\r\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Austin Towle is remembering his sister Sydney Towle.
