It\u2019s all about the output. My creative process is absolutely not about the output,\u201d Bangalter explained. Stream the full interview below.<\/p>\n<p>Bangalter described using AI as a shortcut to create music, \u201ca way to bypass the creative process,\u201d and a means to an end that takes away surprise and humanity in music. \u201cThe output is really the whole journey to maintain that process in a spontaneous and intuitive and instinctive way,\u201d he told the crowd at an arts festival in Basel, Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is actually the creative process that I find the most interesting,\u201d Bangalter said. \u201cWhy would I want to bypass the moment that I\u2019m passionate about?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the interview he discussed Daft Punk\u2019s origins in rave culture and their albums \u201cHomework,\u201d \u201cDiscovery,\u201d and \u201cRandom Access Memories.\u201d He also said that getting to work with Nile Rodgers, which the band did on this latter album and their biggest hit \u201cGet Lucky,\u201d was a childhood dream.
