It got so bad that she had to post a video to <strong>TikTok<\/strong> in 2023 begging fans to stop \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/perezhilton.com\/ariana-grande-addresses-concerns-body\/\">commenting on people\u2019s bodies<\/a>.\u201d However, it didn\u2019t work. The noise has only gotten louder, especially amid her tour and the release of her new album <em>Petal<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/perezhilton.com\/ariana-grande-moved-on-what-about-ethan-slater-rumors-hes-back-with-ex-baby-momma-lilly-jay\/\"><strong>Related: Details On THOSE Rumors Ethan Slater Went Back To Ex Lilly Jay!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, Trisha is stepping up to issue the same reminder for everyone three years later!<\/p>\n<p>The 38-year-old influencer said in a video on TikTok on Sunday:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI do feel the internet is getting so comfortable talking about bodies, but specifically women\u2019s bodies. Fat people or even larger or even like midsize-to-larger people have always been getting the body-shaming, nothing new. But I suppose with the rise of GLP-1s and overall everyone getting very thin, the shockingly thin is becoming more evident. When you have any sort of body dysmorphia, disordered eating, eating disorder, etcetera, comparing bodies \u2014 body checking \u2014 is going to become more intense with the rise of more people becoming thin and getting that unattainable but now attainable thin body.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Trisha made it clear she is not only talking about Ariana, but the singer is facing a lot of commentary about her looks due to her appearance in the <em>Petal<\/em> music video:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSo many people have talked about her new <em>Petal<\/em>\u00a0video where you see her collarbones, her chest bones. Is it alarming? Is it shocking? Yes. I don\u2019t know necessarily if we need to be commenting on it as much as we are.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The social media personality then noted \u201cit\u2019s clear\u201d when people appear \u201cextremely thin,\u201d adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s clear to everyone and the people around them. It can be really hard to admit there\u2019s a problem to yourself, to the public, to your fans. I assure you, if that person has a problem, they\u2019re aware.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And while fans may think they\u2019re helping by expressing concern about someone\u2019s body, it really is, as Trisha pointed out, unhelpful in reality:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cPeople who were always thin who then get thinner and thinner and thinner \u2026 they\u2019re aware even if they have body dysmorphia. Like, they\u2019re fully aware \u2019cause it\u2019s all their mind thinks about. I just don\u2019t think [commenting on people\u2019s bodies] helps either way. It doesn\u2019t help them want to get help, it doesn\u2019t help them want to stop the problem. So many times when people say, \u2018Oh, you look sick,\u2019 or \u2018We see your bones\u2019 \u2026 it\u2019s almost like encouraging, enabling that issue, if that makes sense.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Ultimately, the content creator wants people to quit all the talk about Ariana or anyone else\u2019s appearance:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSo I just think this commenting on bodies just overall needs to stop if they\u2019re not talking about it. If people are not acknowledging weight loss, transformation surgeries, GLP-1s, whatever, then it\u2019s not really up for grabs to comment on, in my opinion. \u2018Cause I just think it helps no one.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Well said.
