This addiction that both the show and gossip reporters have with harassing current and ex hosts continues to be insane. I truly wish that culture would change. I ask only to be left alone and have no desire or plans to ever return to the show.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>McCain didn&#8217;t offer any further updates or indicate who the reporter in question might be.<\/p>\n<p><em>Page Six<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/08\/06\/entertainment\/the-view-doesnt-want-pain-in-the-ass-meghan-mccain-back-for-30th-anniversary-sources\/?utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_campaign=nypost&amp;utm_medium=social\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published an exclusive story<\/a> by <strong>Carlos Greer<\/strong> Thursday titled &#8220;&#8216;The View&#8217; doesn&#8217;t want &#8216;pain in the ass&#8217; Meghan McCain to return for 30th anniversary.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Greer wrote in part, &#8220;McCain\u2019s petulant outbursts were well documented during her time on the show. Moderator<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2019\/12\/17\/behind-the-scenes-of-whoopi-goldberg-and-meghan-mccains-blow-up-at-the-view\/\">\u00a0<strong>Whoopi Goldberg<\/strong> became so visibly fed up with her\u00a0<\/a>once during a debate that she scolded, &#8216;Girl, please stop talking!&#8217; Meanwhile,<strong> Joy Behar<\/strong> didn\u2019t mince words when McCain joked about her missing her when she returned from maternity leave after being away for three months. Behar bluntly told her, &#8216;I did not miss you. Zero!&#8217;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>McCain has repeatedly made it clear there&#8217;s no love lost between herself and the show&#8217;s team. &#8220;The thing about\u00a0<em>The View<\/em> is that I didn\u2019t know when I signed my contract with ABC that this is forever, that, for the rest of my life, I\u2019m going to be bullied, yelled at, abused, and brought up for years. I haven\u2019t been on that show in years.
