With the legendary metal band set to be on tour in Australia in November, they <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2026\/04\/iron-maiden-to-miss-rock-hall-induction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">won\u2019t be in attendance<\/a> at the Los Angeles induction ceremony, but as it turns out they wouldn\u2019t have shown up anyway.<\/p>\n<p>With frontman Bruce Dickinson a longtime vocal critic of the Rock Hall, it\u2019s no surprise that Maiden won\u2019t be there to receive the honor, scheduling conflict or not. However, they are not going so far as to refuse induction, as the singer <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2018\/11\/iron-maiden-bruce-dickinson-rock-hall-of-fame-refuse-induction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">once suggested<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vivid-seats.pxf.io\/c\/1882189\/952533\/12730?subId1=iron-maiden%2Arock-hall-button&amp;subId2=&amp;subId3=&amp;sharedid=&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vividseats.com%2Firon-maiden-tickets%2Fperformer%2F378\" class=\"button button-ticket\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Get Iron Maiden Tickets Here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a new interview, Dickinson and Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris were asked by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loudersound.com\/bands-artists\/iron-maiden-interview-eddfest-bruce-dickinson-steve-harris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><em>Metal Hammer<\/em><\/a> whether they were planning to turn down the honor outright, and Harris replied, \u201cNo, there have only been comments from a couple of members of the band here and there. Bruce has his own strong feelings about it, which is his opinion. It\u2019s never really bothered me one way or the other, because awards aren\u2019t what we do this for. But in a weird way I\u2019m glad it\u2019s happened so the Americans will stop banging on about it. To me, if you get offered something, you say, \u2018Thank you very much.\u2019 But did I lose sleep over getting it or not getting it? No.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>Dickinson added, \u201cI can\u2019t even summon the energy to be vitriolic about it. I appreciate that a significant number of people are happy for us. That\u2019s nice. It\u2019s not something we\u2019re bothered about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Further pressed as to whether they would have attended the upcoming ceremony had they not already been scheduled to be on tour in Australia in November, Dickinson simply responded, \u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harris offered, \u201cI don\u2019t do those sort of things. I didn\u2019t even go to the recent red carpet thing for the <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2026\/03\/iron-maiden-trailer-burning-ambition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">[Iron Maiden] documentary<\/a>.
