His declaration comes right as the legendary New York hardcore band announces a re-recording of its 1986 debut album <em>The Age of Quarrel<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vivid-seats.pxf.io\/c\/1882189\/952533\/12730?subId1=cro-mags%2Aharley-touring-button&amp;subId2=&amp;subId3=&amp;sharedid=&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vividseats.com%2Fsuicidal-tendencies-tickets%2Fperformer%2F7791\" class=\"button button-ticket\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Get Suicidal Tendencies &amp; Cro-Mags Tickets Here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In an Instagram post titled \u201cI Can Feel It in MyBones: My Touring Days Are Coming to an End,\u201d Flanagan wrote the following message to his fans on Wednesday:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">\u201cI don\u2019t know how many more I got in me\u2026 But it\u2019s winding down\u2026 I\u2019ve been on the road since the 70s. Even [Agnostic Front guitarist Vinnie] Stigma can\u2019t say that. lol This used to be an escape from living in squats. I don\u2019t live in a squat anymore. I still enjoy playing music. I just don\u2019t enjoy traveling. I have nine more shows booked after this tour. I\u2019m gonna take a break for a little while and think this through, my new album is almost done I have a few more songs to finish and it may be the best one I\u2019ve ever written that\u2019s all I want is to write one good album that really makes me happy. Then we will see what happens\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">I\u2019m not saying I\u2019m gonna stop playing altogether. But I\u2019m done grinding it out on tour. I\u2019ll play when I feel like it, but this shit is done, touring is a young man\u2019s\/woman\u2019s sport. I like to eat right, I like to sleep right and I like to wake up next to my wife. I actually love my life. I\u2019m not trying to escape it anymore. When you find happiness hold onto it. I don\u2019t wanna spend my whole life on the road and die without holding onto the life I have created for myself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Flanagan followed that up with a few video posts revealing how much pain he is on Cro-Mags\u2019 current tour, pointing out that he has pinched nerves in his neck and lower back, but vowing to finish the remaining shows of the outing.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>For now, Cro-Mags are wrapping up UK\/European tour, and will return to the States for a handful of gigs in late August and early September, including a few gigs with Suicidal Tendencies. They\u2019ll also play the <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2026\/03\/aftershock-festival-2026-lineup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aftershock festival<\/a> on October 4th in Sacramento, California. <a style=\"display: inline !important;\" href=\"https:\/\/vivid-seats.pxf.io\/c\/1882189\/952533\/12730?subId1=suicidal-tendencies&amp;subId2=cro-mags&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vividseats.com%2Fsuicidal-tendencies-tickets%2Fperformer%2F7791\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Pick up tickets here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Cro-Mags have just announced a re-recording of their 1986 debut album <em>The Age of Quarrel<\/em>, which has been dubbed <em>The Age of Quarrel: 40 Years of Quarrel<\/em> and will arrive November 13th. In advance of its release, the band has unveiled a music video for the song \u201cWorld Peace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Flanagan stated of <em>The Age of Quarrel: 40 Years of Quarrel:<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">\u201cIt all started with the making of the <em>Wired for Chaos<\/em> movie, but there were several reasons for revisiting <em>The Age of Quarrel<\/em>. None of the people who played on the original record ever got paid, and none of us ever received an accounting of the album\u2019s sales. For years, I tried to reunite the original lineup to re-record it and reclaim the rights to <em>The Age of Quarrel<\/em> and <em>Best Wishes<\/em> through the Copyright Reversion Act. But I couldn\u2019t get everyone together to take back ownership of the music, and that window has now closed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">We had to re-record a few songs for the <em>Harley Flanagan: Wired for Chaos<\/em> documentary soundtrack because the original recordings couldn\u2019t be licensed. That inspired me to finish the entire album. To honor <em>The Age of Quarrel<\/em>, I brought together friends, current bandmates, and musicians from other bands to celebrate these songs that have meant so much to so many people, myself included. Forty years later, everyone who wrote these songs will finally be paid through ASCAP and BMI, and the remaining proceeds will go to charity. I\u2019m doing my best to make things right. These songs belong to the fans. I\u2019m washing my hands of the past and trying to clear the bad karma from this record. Love wins.
