According to ZZ Top\u2019s official website, the band is still scheduled to play their show Friday at the Saroyan Theater in Fresno, California.<\/p>\n<p>Page Six reached out to the band\u2019s rep for comment, but didn\u2019t receive an immediate response.<\/p>\n<p>Cheap Trick was also supposed to perform at the Hollywood Bowl Wednesday, but the band <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Dbl779hn39K\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced on Instagram<\/a> that they were instead performing at a much smaller venue.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Gibbons (pictured above in February 2025) said in a statement that \u201cinsurmountable obstacles\u201d forced the band to cancel. <span class=\"credit\">Icon Sportswire via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The band also blamed  \u201cunforeseen personnel matters \u201d for canceling the show in their statement. The rock band also includes drummer Frank Beard and bassist Elwood Francis. Francis replaced original member Dusty Hill, who died in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Hill died in his sleep at the age of 72.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>All ticket holders will be refunded. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Post spoke to Gibbons, 76, in January, and he said he <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/30\/ticket-sales\/billy-gibbons-zz-top-interview-where-to-buy-tickets-solo-tour\/\">had no plans to stop touring<\/a> even after performing for 57 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt simply is the greatest job in the world,\u201d he told The Post.\u00a0\u201cGo to work by playing \u2026 and looking ahead to playing it again!
