That said, \u201990s-flavored, piano-forward power pop will never go out of style, and we\u2019re happy to wait another 28 years (maybe?) if New Radicals can keep scratching that same itch. In 2024, they released a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=aHJx_EI7bXs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">new version of \u201cLost Stars,\u201d<\/a> which band masterminds Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois originally co-wrote and produced for Adam Levine as part of their soundtrack to the 2014 film <span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px\"><em>Begin<\/em><\/span><em> Again<\/em>, starring Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>Alexander effectively bailed on New Radicals following their 1999 tour with Goo Goo Dolls, offering almost zero interviews or performances in the last three-ish decades after souring on life as a rock star. However, he\u2019s nonetheless stayed quite busy as a songwriter on hits like Santana\u2019s \u201cThe Game of Love\u201d featuring Michelle Branch and Sophie Ellis-Bextor\u2019s \u201cMurder on the Dancefloor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The New Radicals reunited in 2021 to perform at President Joe Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2021\/01\/new-radicals-perform-biden-inauguration-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">virtual inauguration parade<\/a>. More recently, the duo released\u00a0their own version of <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2024\/08\/new-radicals-murder-dancefloor-lost-stars\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cMurder on the Dancefloor\u201d<\/a> in 2024, and just last month, they teamed up with Michelle Branch for a fun little remake of <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2026\/07\/michelle-branch-the-game-of-love-fall-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cThe Game of Love.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition to securing a piece of New Radicals history,<em> One Night Only<\/em> also features King Princess and Este Haim, both of whom contributed songs to the film. King Princess covered John Paul Young\u2019s 1977 hit \u201cLove Is in the Air,\u201d and HAIM reunited with collaborator Christopher Stracey (<em>Suncoast<\/em>) for the score. Check out that cover and a medley \u2014 titled \u201cOne Haim Only Plus a Stray (Score Suite)\u201d \u2014 following New Radicals\u2019 contribution.<\/p>\n<p><em>One Night Only<\/em> also features Maya Hawke, Julia Fox, Molly Ringwald, Ben Marshall, and LeVar Burton, among others. In the film, Callum\u2019s Owen and Barbaro\u2019s Allie join forces to find each other a one-night stand in a world where premarital sex is illegal for all but 12 hours once every calendar year.
