It won two Tony Awards amid 13 nominations and a 2025 Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album. She is also a <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2026\/music\/news\/alicia-keys-music-industry-good-old-boy-network-1236730439\/\">founding member of She Is the Music<\/a>, a nonprofit to advance women\u2019s careers in music. She is managed by Roc Nation; she had previously been with WME for nearly 15 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<strong>+ Songwriters of North America<\/strong> has announced that nominations for the <strong>2026 Emerging Songwriter Award<\/strong>, presented by YouTube Songwriters, are now open. According to the announcement, the award \u201cuplifts a SONA member who exemplifies originality, craft, and a commitment to creative integrity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFive finalists \u2014 who must be SONA members to be considered \u2014\u00a0will be recognized, with the recipient announced live at the Annual SONA Awards on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, California. Songwriter must have at least three publicly released songs in the past two years and at least three outside cuts (songs cut by another artist).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNominations are open through Friday, August 14, 2026. The finalists and winner will be decided by the SONA membership. Finalists will receive a package which includes priority invitations to YouTube events like writing camps and masterclasses, dedicated strategy sessions with the YouTube team, SONA and YouTube curated stewardship with SONA Award nominees and winners, the opportunity to perform at select SONA events, and more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cSONA has always been built on a simple idea: by Songwriters, for Songwriters.
