<a data-ylk=\"slk:which has been published by an infrastructure consultancy called AECOM;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;link&quot;,&quot;yLinkElementType&quot;:&quot;article_link&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/councillors.herefordshire.gov.uk\/documents\/s50134773\/Hereford%20Western%20Bypass%20Phase%20One%20Full%20Business%20Case.pdf\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">which has been published by an infrastructure consultancy called AECOM<\/a> &#8211; runs to 30 pages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It forecasted that average daily traffic would fall by between 15% and 25% along Walnut Tree Avenue and the A465, both of which suffer regular hold-ups.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It also suggested a smaller drop in traffic of 7% along Holme Lacy Road, and listed &#8220;improved reliability of bus services&#8221; as a benefit, with fewer drivers seeking to cut their journey times by using the well-known rat runs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Price added: &#8220;Publishing the full business case is an important milestone in progressing the Hereford bypass.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;[It] sets out the benefits the scheme will bring, including improving connectivity, supporting businesses, unlocking growth and creating better places for people across Herefordshire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Delivering a scheme of this importance will require the support and involvement of the whole community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;It represents an important first step towards a more connected and resilient transport network for Herefordshire.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The bypass has been divisive &#8211;
