The spouse removed the child and began performing life-saving measures until first responders arrived shortly after 11 a.m., police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The child was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, police said. She was pronounced dead on July 27, the police department said in an update on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The investigation remains ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time, a police department spokesperson told ABC News on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Authorities did not say how long the child is believed to have been stuck.
