Meanwhile, on Disney+, <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/db\/tv-show\/x-men-97\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>X-Men \u201997<\/em><\/strong><\/a> is shining a spotlight on this Marvel property in the animated realm. One of the show\u2019s key creative talents is hopeful it can be used as a platform for the X-Men and Avengers to collide.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/tv-shows\/news\/x-men-97-director-reveals-hope-for-avengers-vs-x-men-in-marvels-animated-universe-as-fans-we-all-want-that-exclusive\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Comicbook<\/em><\/a>, <em>X-Men \u201997<\/em> director and supervising producer Jake Castorena expressed interest in having an <em>\u201cX-Men versus Avengers\u201d<\/em> crossover, though he did acknowledge that he seemingly hasn\u2019t run this idea by Brad WInderbaum, Head of Streaming, Television and Animation at Marvel Studios. When asked if there was another Marvel team he\u2019d like to bring to life in animation, Castorena said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I would love to do\u2026Brad (Winderbaum) don\u2019t hate me\u2026 But I would love if we could ever build an X-Men versus Avengers crossover. I think that would just\u2026I think as fans, we all want that.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Since <em>X-Men \u201997<\/em> is a continuation of <em>X-Men: The Animated Series<\/em>, that means it exists in the same continuity as <em>Spider-Man: The Animated Series<\/em>, <em>Iron Man: The Animated Series<\/em>, and other Marvel shows from the 1990s. As a result, characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther, Daredevil, Captain America, and Black Widow have appeared on <em>X-Men \u201997<\/em>, mainly as cameos. The <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/x-men-97-disney-plus-marvel-black-widow-design-reveal\/\" target=\"_blank\">latter two heroes most recently appeared in \u201cRise of Apocalypse Part 2\u201d<\/a> to deliver Wolverine a file on Weapon X.<\/p>\n<p> As such, it would be feasible to feature an X-Men vs. Avengers crossover in <em>X-Men \u201997<\/em>, though nothing is officially in the works on that front. What\u2019s unclear is if such a crossover would then pave the way for an Avengers spinoff show. <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/mcu-avengers-marvel-animated-universe-appearances\/\" target=\"_blank\">Other animated incarnations of Earth\u2019s Mightiest Heroes<\/a> have been seen in shows like <em>The Avengers: United They Stand<\/em>, <em>The Avengers: Earth\u2019s Mightiest Heroes<\/em>, and <em>Avengers Assemble<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, <em>X-Men \u201997<\/em> is the only show covering this corner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/a-brief-history-of-the-marvel-multiverse\/\" target=\"_blank\">Marvel multiverse<\/a>, although last year\u2019s comic book limited series <em>Spider-Man \u201994<\/em> did finally follow up on <em>Spider-Man: The Animated Series<\/em>\u2019 cliffhanger ending. Other Disney+-exclusive animated Marvel shows include <em>Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man<\/em> and <em>Marvel Zombie<\/em>s, which are both still airing, and the concluded <em>What If\u2026 ?<\/em> and <em>Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur<\/em>. The platform is also home to many live-action MCU shows, like <em>WandaVision<\/em>, <em>Loki<\/em>, <em>Ms. Marvel<\/em>, and <em>Daredevil: Born Again<\/em>.<\/p>\n<section class=\"poll-wrapper \" id=\"poll-content-2008\" data-poll-id=\"2008\" data-article-id=\"6357123\" data-sections-count=\"1\" data-poll-closed=\"false\">\n<article class=\"poll poll-area\" data-style-path-url=\"https:\/\/static0.srcdn.com\/assets\/poll.271e519e.css\">\n<\/article>\n<\/section>\n<p><strong><em>X-Men \u201997<\/em><\/strong> season 2 will conclude Wednesday, August 12, and two more seasons are in development. As for the X-Men\u2019s live-action future, <em>Avengers: Doomsday<\/em> opens on December 18, and the yet-to-be-dated X-Men reboot will be directed by <em>Thunderbolts*<\/em>\u2019 Jake Schreier, with Joanna Calo and Lee Sung Jin writing a new screenplay draft. <em>Ready or Not<\/em>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/xmen-movie-samara-weaving-emma-frost-mcu-reboot\/\"
