ICE said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">ICE said in a statement Monday that Lopez-Cornejo &#8220;received proper medical care and was seen by medical professionals&#8221; his mother, Maria Cornejo, said at a press event on Tuesday.<!-- -->\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Lopez-Cornejo had high blood pressure and diabetes, his family said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The family is adamant that they were told by the hospital that by the time Lopez-Cornejo arrived there on Saturday, his heart was no longer beating.<!-- -->\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">&#8220;We were both dead, but the only difference is that his heart stopped beating and I&#8217;m going to grow up without a father,&#8221;
