The Instagram post, made in collaboration with the White House\u2019s account, used the singer\u2019s work as it showed images of people of color being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cDon\u2019t ever use my songs to promote your racist, hateful propaganda,\u201d replied Rodrigo \u2014 who is of Filipino descent, with a great-great-grandfather who immigrated from the Philippines \u2014 in the comments on the Instagram post at the time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tLast month, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/music\/article\/70335\/1\/olivia-rodrigo-dazed-summer-2026-action-issue-album-interview\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Da<\/em><\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/music\/article\/70335\/1\/olivia-rodrigo-dazed-summer-2026-action-issue-album-interview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">z<\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/music\/article\/70335\/1\/olivia-rodrigo-dazed-summer-2026-action-issue-album-interview\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><em>ed<\/em><\/a> magazine, she elaborated on the topic: \u201cI was just scrolling on my phone. It was so deeply disturbing to see that propaganda, and the fact it was my song in there made me feel even more enraged. What they\u2019re doing is so awful and barbaric and cruel. I am really sad to be in a country that thinks that\u2019s OK.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe <em>Dazed<\/em> interview wasn\u2019t the only time Rodrigo aired her frustration. On the cover of British <em>Vogue<\/em>, she revisited the episode, describing the administration\u2019s use of her music as a \u201cweaponization\u201d of her art, calling the whole ordeal \u201cdystopian.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWhile the \u201cgood 4 u\u201d singer was vocal about her outrage, it seems that her true revenge is now being served \u2014 cold and without even dropping a name. Rodrigo is helping launch a sweepstakes offering tickets to her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/music\/music-news\/olivia-rodrigo-announces-daisy-chain-fields-music-festival-1236627369\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daisy Chain Fields festival<\/a>, encouraging entrants to check their voter registration status, register, or explore election resources for a chance at an all-expenses-paid trip to the festival \u2014 travel and hotel included \u2014 according to HeadCount, the nonprofit running the promotion. HeadCount partners with musicians and music events nationwide to build awareness around civil rights and voter participation, working at over 1,000 concerts and festivals a year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe festival, featuring only women artists, has tapped Chappell Roan, Doechii, Santigold, Sarah McLachlan, Mitski, The Breeders, Bikini Kill, and Stevie Nicks to perform. It will take place on Aug. 29 in Irvine, California, and all net proceeds will be directed toward charities for women and girls.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAnd it\u2019s shaping up to be more than a mere concert.
