For her birthday wish, our forever FLOTUS posted a sweet behind-the-scenes snapshot of her and Barack during their People cover photoshoot earlier this summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHappy birthday,\u201d Michelle began in her caption. \u201c65 never looked better. Every day, you make me a better person, and I\u2019m thankful for all the ways you show up for our family and our country. Love you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She accompanied her message with Stevie Wonder\u2019s iconic \u201cHappy Birthday\u201d on a post to her story.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The image the former first lady posted showed the Obamas smiling and holding hands during their Obama Presidential Center photoshoot for a recent cover story in <em><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/michelle-obama-celebrates-barack-obama-birthday-12033561\">People<\/a><\/em> magazine. The accompanying interview featured the couple\u2019s reflections on the center\u2019s grand opening in June, their 37-year relationship, and daughters Malia, 28, and Sasha, 25.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are each other\u2019s counterbalance,\u201d Michelle told the outlet. \u201cBecause of who my husband is, he offered all of us \u2014 our girls, my mom, my family \u2014 a broader sense of what\u2019s possible in life. He made me think more broadly.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe gave me the courage. He was my ballast,\u201d the former first lady said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When <em><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/michelle-obama-celebrates-barack-obama-birthday-12033561\">People<\/a><\/em> asked the Obamas how their 60s were treating them, Barack responded, \u201cI mean, look, I don\u2019t look as good as her, but I feel great.\u201d Michelle argued, \u201cIt\u2019s because you don\u2019t dye your hair.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s too much trouble,\u201d the greying former president replied.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s been far too long since the Obamas were in the White House, and yet, Donald Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/bossip.com\/4595353\/president-obama-talks-donald-trumps-obsession-with-him\/\">still can\u2019t keep Barack\u2019s name out of his mouth<\/a>. The former president talked about Trump\u2019s obsession with him back in June during an appearance on the <em>All the Smoke<\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discussion began when one host, former NBA player Matt Barnes, noted that Trump continues to bring up Obama on a regular basis. Barnes asked how Obama has managed to maintain his composure while facing years of criticism, attacks, and what he described as negativity and racism.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe thing about it is, look, you\u2019ve gotta ask him what it is\u2026the obsession. I obviously have a room in his head. A suite in his head,\u201d he said on the podcast.  \u201cFirst of all, when I was president, the last thing I had time to do was worry about what somebody said or my predecessor did. They\u2019re gone.
