A long-term deal is now in place, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AdamSchefter\/status\/2084666814655570104\">ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter reports<\/a>. The news has since been confirmed by the team.<\/p>\n<p>This is a four-year, $140MM extension, per Schefter. He adds the pact contains $108MM in guarantees. Flowers had his fifth-year option <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.profootballrumors.com\/2026\/04\/ravens-exercise-wr-zay-flowers-fifth-year-option\">exercised this spring<\/a>. As a result, today\u2019s news means he will be in place through 2031.<\/p>\n<p>Ravens GM\u00a0<strong>Eric DeCosta\u00a0<\/strong>has taken multiple first-round swings at the receiver position over the course of his tenure. Flowers represents the most successful of those selections, and he will be counted on to remain Baltimore\u2019s focal point in the passing game for the foreseeable future. This deal carries an average annual value of $35MM, which represents a tie with\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JeffJu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.profootballrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-08-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Justin Jefferson<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>for fourth at the WR position in terms of AAV.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this offseason,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SmitJa06.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.profootballrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-08-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jaxon Smith-Njigba<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>reset the position\u2019s market with his Seahawks extension. Flowers was not expected to match that figure, but his 2023 draft classmate certainly helped raise the floor for other big-money receiver deals. With respect to per-year compensation, this pact moves Flowers into second place on the Ravens behind only\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=JackLa00,JackLa02&amp;search=Lamar+Jackson&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.profootballrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-08-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Lamar Jackson<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>By mid-April, it was clear a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.profootballrumors.com\/2026\/04\/ravens-wr-zay-flowers-wants-to-stay-in-baltimore\">mutual interest<\/a> existed in a long-term extension in this case. Baltimore had time to wait thanks to the option decision lining up Flowers to receive over $27MM in 2027, but negotiations continued during the lead-up to training camp. In July, DeCosta confirmed the team\u2019s goal was to have an agreement in place <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.profootballrumors.com\/2026\/07\/ravens-aiming-for-zay-flowers-extension-prior-to-2026-season\">prior to Week 1<\/a>.
