Simmons<\/a> wants to see the DCEU entry released.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Oscar winner, who starred as Commissioner James Gordon in the Adil El Arbi\/Bilall Fallah-helmed movie, recently looked back on Warner Bros. and DC Films\u2019 \u201cbizarre\u201d decision shelf the title amid the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/wbd\/\" id=\"auto-tag_wbd\" data-tag=\"wbd\">WBD<\/a> merger.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s bizarre,\u201d he said on the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/watch?t=1774&amp;v=C-VMNox7F3E&amp;feature=youtu.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Happy Sad Confused<\/a><\/em> podcast. \u201cApparently, one test audience saw it, and you know, it wasn\u2019t like it was a bad score from the test audience. It was a whatever business decision obviously, and then, <em>Justice League<\/em>, which was a very small part, had its own drama attached to it. But then Zack\u2019s cut\u2026 the director\u2019s cut came out, which the DC fans really love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSimmons added, \u201cWhen <em>Batgirl<\/em> came along with Adil and Bilall, it was an exciting prospect to be part of the origin story of Batgirl. For those who don\u2019t know, Commissioner Gordon\u2019s daughter. Maybe we\u2019ll never know\u2026 We really had a good time making it and thought it was going to be a fun superhero movie. Oh well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tStarring Leslie Grace as the titular Gotham City desk cop turned vigilante, <em>Batgirl<\/em> also Brendan Fraser, Jacob Scipio and Ivory Aquino, as well as Michael Keaton reprising his role as Bruce Wayne from <em>Batman<\/em> (1989) and <em>Batman Returns<\/em> (1992).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"J.K.
