The segment later aired largely intact with added comments from the administration.<\/p>\n<p>Mention of Wyden&#8217;s interview surfaced Monday in the senator\u2019s release of a sweeping Senate report alleging that several of the country&#8217;s largest banks of having \u201cbeen willing to turn a blind eye\u201d to Epstein&#8217;s financial activity and calling for stronger enforcement against institutions that ignore suspicious transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Wyden&#8217;s investigation alleges Deutsche Bank AG failed to promptly report more than $250 million in suspicious Epstein-related transactions. It also found that Bank of America reported roughly $170 million in transactions linked to billionaire <strong>Leon Black<\/strong>, including payments that investigators said appeared to have &#8220;no apparent economic, business or lawful purpose.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Black has maintained the payments were for legitimate tax and estate-planning advice and has denied any knowledge of Epstein&#8217;s criminal conduct. His attorney, <strong>Susan Estrich<\/strong>, called the report&#8217;s conclusions &#8220;outrageous and false,&#8221; citing a 2021 Apollo-commissioned investigation that found no evidence connecting Black to Epstein&#8217;s crimes.<\/p>\n<p>The report also highlights clashes between Wyden and the Trump administration over access to Treasury records.
