Michelle appeared on \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=o5izPm15BLM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>The Breakfast Club<\/em><\/a>, where she talked about her music career, marriage, reality TV journey, and more. During the conversation, K. Michelle said, \u201cI\u2019ve watched Black Country singers won\u2019t work with and treat their own more f**ked up than White Country artists trying to understand our culture and all of that.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TBC host <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodunlocked.com\/tag\/charlamagne-tha-god\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Charlamagne Tha God<\/a><\/strong> asked, \u201cSo, you\u2019ve reached out to Black Country singers to collab and they didn\u2019t want to work?\u201d K. Michelle said: <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOhhh. There\u2019s only 15 of us in the city [Nashville, Tennessee] that\u2019s really there. So, like <strong>Mickey Guyton<\/strong> has always supported me. I just saw her do a post the other day about me. All of that. My thing is\u2014OK. He can get mad at me and say whatever. Michelle continued to recall the Nigerian-American\u2019s introduction into the Country Music scene and him looking up to her. She recalled, \u201cI looked in my DM and saw he was like, \u2018You\u2019re the GOAT.\u2019 This and all of that.\u201d She continued to claim he would respond to her different posts on Instagram, like him wanting a plate of whatever she was cooking. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">K. Michelle said they exchanged numbers and eventually her A&amp;R rep called her claiming he was looking for her. However, when K. Michelle texted Shaboozey about a feature, she claimed he ghosted her. You can cut that.\u201d She continued, \u201cBut, I just think that\u2019s just weird. Again, we do each other so bad. We do each other so bad.\u201d TBC host <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodunlocked.com\/tag\/jess-hilarious\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jess Hilarious<\/a><\/strong> asked if the singer believes Black Country artists are chasing White validation. She replied: <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYeah. But, I think a lot of people do it. Like, great job at that. But, the core of things\u2014you chase the validation of wanting to show the Black people you\u2019re Black. And then you go to a Black girl. \u2018Let me go to this Black girl and tell her she\u2019s the GOAT.\u2019 And then do this, and this and that. It\u2019s just kind of how it is. There are people that aren\u2019t Black, that will go so hard for you, harder than your own.
