You know, we\u2019re straight about it, but they deny it,\u201d Trump said. \u201cBut they\u2019re not denying it now. They just put out a statement not denying it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-33eb8a\" class=\"body-graf\">On the Strait, he said the parties were discussing \u201chaving it open literally by tomorrow, completely open, and that\u2019s phase one,\u201d adding that the second phase of talks would focus on Iran\u2019s nuclear program.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-e83b89\" class=\"body-graf\">The president had earlier called off intense new strikes on Iran, giving space for what he said would be fresh negotiations.<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-d1c538\" class=\"body-graf\">Attacks have come the other way, though, with a cargo vessel reporting being struck by an \u201cunknown projectile\u201d of Oman\u2019s coast Monday night, the UKMTO said. Maritime sources told Reuters on Tuesday that the vessel struck near Hormuz was a dry bulk ship.
