Became friends with this incredible crew of people,\u201d Mulroney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xz_YwsvQ8Hc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">said<\/a> at the fan convention.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMulroney acknowledged the \u201cincredible cast\u201d he worked with and noted that they gave him \u201cincredibly challenging scenes\u201d throughout his time on the show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe actor said that he only had one episode left, which will be part of Season 15, \u201cand they write the character off, adding, \u201cWe gave it our all for two seasons.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThey wrote an incredible storyline that put me as an actor on [a] high challenge,\u201d he continued. \u201cI loved every minute of it. Sad to see it go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMulroney, who played Chief Pascal, talked about the support from fans and how much these shows mean to first responders and their families.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThat\u2019s how meaningful that is, which makes it that much more- I won\u2019t say bittersweet; it\u2019s better to have to leave that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOn Friday, July 31, Deadline reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/07\/dermot-mulroney-exit-chicago-fire-season-15-1237014591\/\">Mulroney was saying goodbye to <em>Chicago Fire<\/em><\/a>. The actor joined the Wolft Entertainment and Universal Television show in Season 13 after Eamonn Walker\u2019s exit. <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/01\/chicago-fire-dermot-mulroney-hiatus-rob-morgan-cast-1236692152\/\">Mulroney went on hiatus for the latter half of Season 14<\/a>, returning in the finale.
