She <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/07\/28\/us\/politics\/domestic-abuse-allegations-ohio-house-race.html\">says<\/a> Miller pointed a gun at her head, threw scalding hot water at her, pushed her into a wall, and fractured their two-year-old daughter\u2019s collarbone. Miller denies the accusations.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Grisham, who dated Miller in 2019 and 2020, filed a restraining order against him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today we filed for a Temporary Restraining Order against Cong. Max Miller (R-OH) on behalf of former Trump Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham,&#8221; her attorney <strong>Mark S. Zaid<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MarkSZaidEsq\/status\/2084410510284386706?s=20\">posted<\/a>. He did not elaborate on what prompted the move.<\/p>\n<p>Zaid is representing Grisham in her lawsuit against Miller, which stems from an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2021\/10\/05\/stephanie-grisham-abusive-relationship-trump-white-house\/\">op-ed<\/a> she wrote in <em>The Washington Post<\/em> in 2021. In it, Grisham described an abusive relationship with a man whose name she did not mention in the piece. Miller <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/former-trump-press-secretary-stephanie-grisham-accuses-congressional-candidate-of-abuse\/2021\/10\/05\/ac8617e2-25fb-11ec-8831-a31e7b3de188_story.html\">sued<\/a> Grisham for defamation almost immediately after the op-ed was published. The congressman eventually dropped his lawsuit, and he and Grisham signed a nondisclosure agreement stating that the parties would not publicly disparage one another.<\/p>\n<p>Grisham sued Miller last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/spectrumnews1.com\/oh\/columbus\/news\/2026\/07\/08\/max-miller-stephanie-grisham-defamation\">alleging<\/a> that Miller had broken the agreement with remarks he made during a June 5 <a href=\"https:\/\/spectrumnews1.com\/oh\/columbus\/news\/2026\/06\/05\/max-miller-abuse-allegations-moreno\">interview<\/a> with Spectrum News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithout question, every allegation should be taken seriously,\u201d Miller said in the interview. \u201cWhat should be noted is that allegation came out on the same day as somebody&#8217;s book launch.
