She was 82 years old.<\/p>\n<p>A family member of Rivera\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/08\/03\/mary-rivera-dead\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told TMZ<\/a> Monday that she was in a coma and that her family made the decision to pull her off life support after doctors told them that even if she woke up, her prognosis wouldn\u2019t be good.<\/p>\n<p>She died in Honolulu, Hawaii, and was cremated.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Actress Mary Rivera, best known for her role in \u201cSpider-Man: No Way Home,\u201d has died. <span class=\"credit\">Sony Pictures<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Rivera (seen here in April 2022) suffered a stroke and died in April, a family member of hers told TMZ Monday. <span class=\"credit\">KHON2<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The family member noted that the late actress was \u201cproud\u201d of her role in the Marvel film, in which she spoke Tagalog and shared the screen with Tom Holland (Peter Parker \/ Spider-Man), Zendaya (MJ), and Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), as well as Andrew Garfield \u2014 who made a cameo in the movie, reprising his role as Peter Parker \/ Spider-Man.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DlsMWz4QAvM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a memorable scene from the film<\/a>, she asks Garfield to remove cobwebs on the ceiling in Tagalog.
