She will play the role of Sandra, we hear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHolland joins the previously announced Jimmy Tatro, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/07\/jimmy-tattro-jimmy-olsen-superman-spinoff-gorilla-grodd-1236983369\/\">who we confirmed last month would play Gorilla Grodd<\/a>, the hyper-intelligent telepathic ape who has sought to rule both the simian and human worlds, though the Flash has frequently thwarted his plans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHBO Max and DCS declined to comment for this story.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe spinoff is billed as being akin to a true-crime docuseries\/mockumentary with the Daily Planet\u2019s Jimmy Olsen (played by Skyler Gisondo in the summer blockbuster directed by James Gunn) from\u00a0<em>Superman<\/em> hosting. Season 1 will be centered around DC bad guy Gorilla Grodd, who has psychic powers and other skills after his encounter with an alien spaceship. The character was created in 1959 by John Broome and\u00a0Carmine Infantino, and was most recently featured as part of DC\u2019s\u00a0Arrowverse<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe new series comes from Tony Yacenda\u00a0and\u00a0Dan Perrault,\u00a0creators of Netflix\u2019s\u00a0<em>American Vandal\u00a0<\/em>series, a true-crime satire series that ran from 2017-18. They\u2019ll write, executive produce and showrun the series. <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/dc-studios\/\" id=\"auto-tag_dc-studios\" data-tag=\"dc-studios\">DC Studios<\/a> bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran are EPs, with Galen Vaisman overseeing production. Warner Bros. Television is also producing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHolland is an actress, writer and comedian who can currently be seen recurring on CBS\u2019s hit sitcom <em>Ghosts,<\/em> and Netflix\u2019s<em> The Little House on the Prairie<\/em> reboot. Before, she starred in\u00a0Apple\u2019s <em>The Big Door Prize<\/em>, and on the big screen in <em>Under the Lights\u00a0<\/em>opposite Nick Offerman, Annapurna\u2019s\u00a0<em>Nightbitch<\/em>, Neon\u2019s\u00a0<em>Self Reliance,<\/em> opposite Kristen Bell in Netflix\u2019s <em>Woman in the House,<\/em> and <em>Senior Year.<\/em> She is currently in production on <em>The Earliest Show<\/em>, a TV series from Amplify Pictures.
