The removal comes after he released \u201cWe Will Dance Again,\u201d a song in which he decisively supported the Israeli government\u2019s actions against Palestinians with lyrics like \u201cYou say genocide\/ I say war,\u201d and \u201cYou condemn the Jews with selective memory\/ Musicians holding flags mouthing like sheep\/ Propaganda fueled by the internet feels so weak.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vivid-seats.pxf.io\/c\/1882189\/952533\/12730?subId1=boy-george%2Aremoved-from-bandcamp-button&amp;subId2=&amp;subId3=&amp;sharedid=&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vividseats.com%2Fboy-george-tickets%2Fperformer%2F1587\" class=\"button button-ticket\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Get Boy George Tickets Here<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Boy George wrote \u201cWhat a bunch of c^^^s!\u201d in an Instagram post about his profile being removed by Bandcamp, saying in a video, \u201cIt\u2019s very disappointing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The removal may not have anything to do with Boy George\u2019s staunch stance in the song and may be based on how he created it. The singer was open about his use of AI to create \u201cWe Will Dance Again,\u201d and Bandcamp\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.bandcamp.com\/2026\/01\/13\/keeping-bandcamp-human\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">policy<\/a> doesn\u2019t allow music \u201cthat is generated wholly or in substantial part by AI.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>The Bandcamp removal wasn\u2019t the only split Boy George dealt with in the wake of releasing \u201cWe Will Dance Again.\u201d On July 31st, the singer announced through another social media post that he had \u201cparted company\u201d with Tony Pontius, the manager of his BGP record label over a disagreement concerning the controversial song. Boy George claimed that Pontius was \u201cunequivocal\u201d in refusing to release \u201cWe Will Dance Again.\u201d The singer said he responded to Pontius\u2019 refusal by saying, \u201c\u2018we are done.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn Buddhism we understand that every action comes with a consequence,\u201d Boy George wrote. \u201cDue to my decision to stand up for my Jewish friends I am losing a few people from my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>These latest developments follow Boy George being <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2026\/07\/boy-george-pulled-from-jesus-christ-superstar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pulled by his manager<\/a> from a London production of <em>Jesus Christ Superstar<\/em>, in which he was supposed to play Jewish King Herod, only days before his debut.
