McRae has collaborated with Morgan Wallen on the song \u2018What I Want\u2019; Wallen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/morgan-wallen-tells-fans-not-to-defend-him-over-video-of-him-using-racial-slur-2877773\">stirred controversy over his use of a racial slur in 2021.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, McRae is reportedly dating Jack Hughes, who plays for NHL team The Devils and for the USA team when they won the Winter Olympics this year.
