The series, which was created by Barbara Walters, features a multi-generational panel that conducts interviews and discusses the news of the day, ranging from politics to entertainment. The original lineup was comprised [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The comedian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/joy-behar-taking-hiatus-from-the-view-who-will-replace-her\/\">was previously on the show<\/a> as a moderator for one season in 2007 and another in 2015. O\u2019Donnell has since been outspoken about the challenges she faced behind the scenes despite her support for the morning talk show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany, many people got the short end of the stick there. It was, you know, it was a factory where people were being churned in and out and their tenuous security, nobody got to be calm,\u201d she added on Monday. \u201cIt also was a show at the time that was run by a man. A show created by a woman, for women, about women, and the man was deciding what we should talk about. With Brooke Shields\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Donnell <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/the-views-joy-behar-and-rosie-odonnell-slammed-by-white-house\/\">was asked whether<\/a> she had any regrets about her time on <em>The View<\/em>, to which she replied, \u201cI know this: It\u2019s not the best use of my talent to get in a show where I have to argue and defend basic principles of humanity and kindness. We went out to dinner. We knew each other way before I did that show, before she asked me to do it, and we remained friendly toward the end. I forgave her, because she was older and did the best that she could with what she had to work with, but it\u2019s nothing I\u2019d want to do again, I can say that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the podcast episode, O\u2019Donnell said she had a \u201ctense time\u201d with current moderator Goldberg before her 2015 exit.
