We\u2019re going into surgery,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m terrified of surgery, that I\u2019m going to go to sleep and not wake up, or that I\u2019m going to bleed out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The surgery for the immediate cause was successful at the time, but things soon became more complicated.<\/p>\n<h3>Britagne contracted infections and suffered from potential organ failure days after heal the wound.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, Britagne was already suffering from two blood-clotting disorders discovered during one of her pregnancies, as well as liver damage and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boredpanda.com\/sister-snuck-shellfish-food-allergy-police\/\" class=\" staff-link\">multiple allergies<\/a> to food and medication.<\/p>\n<p>Her medical history contributed to They recommended hospice after just two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/support-britagnes-fight-for-life-and-recovery\" class=\" staff-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">GoFundMe<\/a> set up by her husband, Jake, says that the doctors gave her days to a month to live as she spent 10 days in the MICU and then more time in the cardio ICU before being moved to a regular floor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe medical team has provided everything they can: blood transfusions, plasma, platelets, cryoprecipitate, antibiotics, potassium, and other life-saving treatments to try to Miller<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Despite their best efforts, five days into recovery, Britagne\u2019s wound and stitches became infected with a staph and gram-negative S-type infection, causing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boredpanda.com\/serious-medical-conditions-overlooked\/\" class=\" staff-link\">tissue necrosis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The doctors had to urgently perform two bedside procedures and put her on additional antibiotic medications.<\/p>\n<h3>Britagne\u2019s husband, Jake, lost his job while taking care of her and the kids<\/h3>\n<p class=\"attachment-link-container come home from the hospital as soon as she recovers from the infections, but will require consistent home health care, physiotherapy, and weekly visits to specialists.<\/p>\n<p>However, she is not yet eligible for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boredpanda.com\/woman-story-stuns-as-she-shares-experience-with-liver-failure\/\" class=\" staff-link\">liver transplant<\/a>, as her blood-clotting conditions and other pathological markers would need to be stable enough to tolerate the operation. The process would likely take months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have watched her endure more pain than I ever thought a person could survive, and somehow, she still finds the strength to fight,\u201d he said. entomologist at Kansas State, told <i>KAKE<\/i> that the brown recluse was the only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boredpanda.com\/why-would-you-touch-that-pics\/\" class=\" staff-link\">venomous spider<\/a> in Kansas aside from the black widow.<\/p>\n<p>The spider favors dark, hidden places, such as under logs, in rock piles, or beneath porches.
