She was 56.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDontcheva\u2019s death was confirmed by her stepson, the French producer Hugo S\u00e9lignac. A cause of death was not disclosed, but S\u00e9lignac referred to her experiencing a \u201cten-year battle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tS\u00e9lignac, whose father is director Arnaud Selignac, said: \u201cYou can\u2019t imagine how wonderful I thought you were and how deeply loved you were.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn a quote cited in British media, Dontcheva\u2019s agent Laurent Savry said: \u201cIt is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Natalia Dontcheva.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cA profoundly talented artist and woman of great sensitivity, Natalia Dontcheva touched audiences with the precision of her performances, her elegance and her dedication to her craft.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDontcheva was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1969. She starred in <em>Doc Martin<\/em>, the French adaptation of the British series that screens on ITV, for four years between 2011 and 2015.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHer most recent credit was in French drama<em> Disturbing Disappearances<\/em>.
