They\u2019ll also have guests on the show, such as co-creator and series director Jonathan Krisel as well as Portlandians (cast members) like Kyle MacLachlan, Aimee Mann, and more.<\/p>\n<p>The podcast will launch its first episode on July 16th. It\u2019s produced by Will Ferrell\u2019s company Big Money Players \u2014 a joint venture between Ferrell and iHeartMedia \u2014 and will go live on YouTube as well as the usual podcast distribution networks.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur hope with the\u00a0<em>Portlandia<\/em> rewatch podcast is to continue the conversations we began when the show first aired,\u201d said Brownstein in a statement. \u201cConversations around community, how a place shapes and defines us, how much of life is mere performance, and how absurdity is often the best way to make sense of the world. Revisiting these episodes also reminded me of the ways Fred is singularly hilarious; we loved getting to hang out and reminisce, sing the praises of the cast, crew, and the city itself, and to have a new means of connecting with our audience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Podlandia<\/em> is the latest podcast to jump on the rewatch format; recent years have seen numerous former TV stars and creators looking back on memory lane and diving into the creation of hit shows, from Josh Radnor and Craig Thomas\u2019\u00a0<em>How We Made Your Mother<\/em> to the\u00a0<em>Saturday Night Live\u00a0<\/em>Digital Short breakdowns in <i id=\"mwAjo\">The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Armisen and Brownstein have remained active post-<em>Portlandia<\/em>. Brownstein, on the other hand, will rejoin her band Sleater-Kinney for a <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2026\/04\/liz-phair-sleater-kinney-2026-tour-dates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">co-headlining US tour alongside Liz Phair<\/a> this fall.
