Flooding was first reported at 4:48 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Repairs are expected to be completed around 2:30 p.m., an LADWP representative said. San Vicente Boulevard remains closed between Lindenhurst and Orlando avenues. <\/p>\n<p>LADWP did not disclose the cause of the burst in the  eight-inch cast-iron pipe. <\/p>\n<p>The flooding follows several other burst pipes in the Los Angeles area in recent weeks. On July 16, a major <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2026-07-19\/venice-hollywood-water-pipe-breaks-deepen-la-flooding-woes\">water main break<\/a> in West Hollywood forced the closure of a section of Sunset Boulevard and displaced some residents. <\/p>\n<p>Sunset Boulevard <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/ladwpnews.com\/ladwp-will-reopen-sunset-blvd-overnight-following-large-diameter-pipe-rupture-in-west-hollywood-7pm-july-24-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\">was reopened<\/a> overnight on July 24.
