she was too terrified to schedule the operation, said before: \u201cI\u2019m so scared, I just don\u2019t know what is going to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Surgeons went on to remove her uterus, cervix, filmed herself preparing for surgery, joking: \u201cGot the gown, got the cap. I feel like an alien serving this look.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking from her hospital bed afterwards, the MTV star admitted she was struggling with the painful recovery.<\/p>\n<p>She said: \u201cSo the first couple of days is hell, and then it\u2019s gonna get better.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m trying to stay in good spirits, and the nurses and doctors and everybody was so great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Snooki also revealed surgeons repaired her diastasis recti, a separation of the stomach muscles which can occur during pregnancy, while carrying out the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>She signed off the video by telling fans: \u201cI love you. Thanks for being here. And get your Pap smears, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Snooki shares sons Lorenzo, 13, and Angelo, seven, and daughter Giovanna, 11, with husband Jionni LaValle.<\/p>\n<p>Although she said their family was complete, the star has said that losing her ability to carry another baby had been difficult to process.<\/p>\n<p>She previously said: \u201cThat\u2019s a part of being a woman, and even though I\u2019m done having kids, the thought of not being able to really upset me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt messes with you a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Snooki revealed in February that a biopsy had confirmed she had stage-one cervical adenocarcinoma, a cancer which begins in the glandular cells of the cervical canal.<\/p>\n<p>She had received abnormal smear-test results for four years but admitted putting off follow-up appointments because she found the examinations painful and frightening.<\/p>\n<p>The biopsy removed the visible tumour, while subsequent scans found no evidence that the cancer had spread elsewhere in her body.<\/p>\n<p>Snooki rose to fame on MTV reality hit Jersey Shore, which followed a group of young housemates spending their summers together on the New Jersey coast.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<script async=\"async\" data-cfasync=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/pl30214220.effectivecpmnetwork.com\/9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<div id=\"container-9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\"><\/div>\r\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SIX months after being diagnosed with cervical cancer, Jersey Shore star Nicole \u201cSnooki\u201d Polizzi has undergone a radical hysterectomy.
