href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/26\/celebrity-news\/julia-roberts-attends-niece-emmas-outdoor-idaho-wedding-to-cody-john\/\">there for the Idaho nuptials<\/a>, the \u201cDark Knight\u201d actor was not.<\/p>\n<p>Eric initially <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/27\/celebrity-news\/eric-roberts-speaks-out-after-missing-estranged-daughter-emmas-idaho-wedding-to-cody-john\/\">issued a terse statement<\/a> on his absence, telling Page Six, \u201cI love my daughter, always have, always will.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is perfectly wonderful for her to celebrate however she wants,\u00a0with whomever she wants,\u201d he href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/28\/parents\/sad-eric-roberts-detailed-his-relationship-loss-with-daughter-emma-years-before-missing-her-wedding\/\">addressed his strained relationship<\/a> with the \u201cAmerican Horror Story\u201d actress in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the \u201ctoughest time\u201d of his life in an October 2024 interview on the \u201cInside of You\u201d podcast, he responded, \u201cProbably the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/10\/22\/parents\/eric-roberts-admits-his-sadness-over-loss-of-relationship-with-daughter-emma-roberts\/\">loss of a relationship<\/a>\u00a0with my daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eric denied there was any \u201cpain\u201d regarding their falling out, instead describing it was \u201ca sadness for the most likely
