The singer was allegedly warned that those communications could become public if she did not offer the requested show of support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The claim mirrors allegations that surfaced during Lively and Baldoni\u2019s legal battle. Baldoni\u2019s attorney, Bryan Freedman, previously asserted in court filings that Lively\u2019s legal team attempted to pressure Swift into publicly backing the actress.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Freedman wrote in a <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/judge-strikes-improper-letter-justin-baldoni-taylor-swift-claims-blake-lively-11734980\">May 14 letter<\/a> to Judge Lewis J. Liman that a \u201csource who is highly likely to have reliable information\u201d had described alleged \u201cextortionate threats\u201d made to the law firm representing Swift. We unequivocally deny all of these so-called allegations, which are cowardly sourced to supposed anonymous sources, and completely untethered from reality,\u201d Gottlieb said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Freedman later filed a signed affidavit under penalty of perjury offering additional information about the unnamed source and the allegations. However, the affidavit was subsequently withdrawn after the judge ruled that it was \u201cimproper\u201d and \u201cirrelevant to any issue before this Court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ruling did not establish whether the alleged threat occurred.
