I don\u2019t know what she was thinking? To me, it was a pure case of VANDALISM, that included the grass, which had a big 86 47 emblazoned in giant letters on it, and other elements of the surrounding area. There may have been some contractor difficulty, but the major damage was caused by VANDALS! President DJT<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/117021283621973335\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">followed up the post<\/a> with several videos of people milling about near the reflecting pool.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Look for yourselves <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/117021334217232037\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at the VANDALISM<\/a> that took place at The Reflecting Pool. The material is being cut with a knife or a box cutter, for all to see!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Pirro sought Friday to dismiss the criminal case against former Olympic canoeist <strong>David Hearn<\/strong>, acknowledging in a court filing that damage to the Reflecting Pool was caused by \u201cflawed installation\u201d rather than vandalism.<\/p>\n<p>Hearn had pleaded not guilty earlier this month to one felony count of destruction of government property after he was accused of damaging the Reflecting Pool during a June 19 visit.<\/p>\n<p>Pirro\u2019s office said in court papers that new information provided after the indictment undermined the government\u2019s original theory of the case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was not until after the return of the indictment, that the DOI provided additional documents to the USAO-DC indicating that damage to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in June 2026 was the result of flawed installation by the contractor, Atlantic Industrial Coatings (\u2018AIC\u2019), and the rush to complete the project prior to events associated with the America 250 celebration in the weeks surrounding Independence Day 2026,\u201d according to the court filing.<\/p>\n<p>The dismissal came after <em>The Washington Post<\/em> earlier this month <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/media\/news\/wapo-deep-dive-pours-cold-water-all-over-trumps-reflecting-pool-vandalism-claims\/\">revealed experts <\/a>who said the lining peeled away most likely because it was incorrectly installed.<\/p>\n<p>Dropping the case was a \u201ctrue embarrassment\u201d for Pirro, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/media\/tv\/a-true-embarrassment-for-jeanine-pirro-cnns-elie-honig-shreds-prosecutor-after-she-drops-case-against-former-olympian\/\">CNN\u2019s <strong>Elie Honig<\/strong> said. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s your job as a prosecutor to get the relevant information first. You don\u2019t charge first and then figure it out.
