The return of Momoa as a clone of his character from the first film is just one of the other wild touches hinted at here.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>The first two films, <i>Dune<\/i> and <i>Dune: Part Two<\/i>, were critically acclaimed blockbusters, and <i>Part Three<\/i> may well achieve the same heights. However, there are two epic battles unfolding on the film\u2019s release day: The one on the screen, and the one at the box office, as Warner Bros. and Disney cross their fingers in hopes that <i>Dune<\/i> and <i>Avengers: Doomsday<\/i> can create an Barbenheimer-esque moment. (\u201cDunesday\u201d being the obvious portmanteau.)<\/p>\n<p>Should audiences only have an appetite for one very long genre saga, the waning interest in the MCU may well mean that <i>Dune: Part Three<\/i> has the advantage on December 18th, 2026.
