It was originally conceived as a more realistic counterpoint to fellow hit Brit teen show \u201cSkins,\u201d showcasing an adolescence that is awkward and \u2014\u00a0as Morris suggested at the time \u2014 mostly \u201ccrap.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAfter three seasons, two hit movies followed, released in 2011 and 2014 respectively.
