We reported earlier this month that Tay had even <a href=\"https:\/\/perezhilton.com\/taylor-swift-godmother-role-blake-lively-ryan-reynolds-kids-faded-falling-out\/\">rolled back on her godmother role<\/a> in Blake and <strong>Ryan Reynolds<\/strong>\u2018 kids lives. She was the godmother to <strong>James<\/strong>, <strong>Inez<\/strong>, <strong>Betty<\/strong>, and <strong>Olin<\/strong>, but after the big falling out between her and Blake, a source said that was no more:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWhen Taylor\u2019s friendship with Blake and Ryan ended, her role as an active godmother naturally faded too. There wasn\u2019t a falling out with the children. She simply isn\u2019t part of their everyday lives anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So sad. And now, a new source for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.com\/tvshowbiz\/article-16013099\/Taylor-Swift-Blake-Lively-friendship.html\"><em>DailyMail.com<\/em><\/a> is echoing that statement. They claim Taylor had \u201cno choice\u201d but to \u201cremove herself\u201d from the whole situation:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt was one of the toughest decisions she\u2019s ever had to make. It was very emotional because she loves the girls. It hurt her heart, but she had no choice given the circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The insider claimed this decision wasn\u2019t taken lightly, and was only finalized \u201ca few months ago\u201d after she talked it over with <strong>Travis Kelce<\/strong>. And his opinion was reportedly telling Tay it \u201cwas the right thing to do\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/perezhilton.com\/karlie-kloss-surprising-comment-taylor-swift-wedding-where-they-stand\/\">Related: Karlie Kloss Makes VERY Surprising Comment About Taylor\u2019s Wedding<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As for the godmother status, there won\u2019t be a big legal issue:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThere was never an agreement in writing about her being the girls\u2019 godmother. It was a verbal one between Taylor and Blake.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This has reportedly hurt Taylor\u2019s heart BADLY. Which, we can imagine! She absolutely loves her godchildren. She even used their names in her <em>Folklore<\/em> album as a gift to them. The source said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt hurt her heart, but she had no choice given the circumstances. She wanted to make a clean and total break.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A second source said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cTaylor\u2019s having the time of her life now that she is married, her family is great, her career is great and she\u2019s looking forward to the future. The only thing that is causing troubles in her life is Blake\u2019s kids and not having the relationship she would like to have with them as their godmother. Right now, she doesn\u2019t feel it\u2019s healthy or realistic to maintain a close relationship with the children while having virtually no relationship with their parents. Taylor doesn\u2019t believe it\u2019s fair to anyone involved \u2013 especially the kids \u2013 to put them in the middle of such a strained situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>They added:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cShe believes stepping away is the most respectful path forward for all parties.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Ugh. Such a tough decision for everyone involved here.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor reportedly hasn\u2019t given up on the idea of reconciliation with the kids, though. The source alleged:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWhile many people view the title of godparent as largely symbolic, Taylor embraced the role wholeheartedly. Because of that, walking away has been incredibly painful and heartbreaking.
