Surgery went great.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He underwent an adenoidectomy, which is a procedure where a child&#8217;s adenoid glands (located in the upper nose) are taken out to clear the airway after excessive swelling from infection, per the <a href=\"https:\/\/my.clevelandclinic.org\/health\/treatments\/15447-adenoidectomy-adenoid-removal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer noopener noreferrer\">Cleveland Clinic<\/a>. The surgery is typically quick and begins with administering anesthesia.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, the 34-year-old noted that her toddler&#8217;s reaction to the anesthesia was challenging.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was a rough wake up from anesthesia, but we are back home,&#8221; Shawn wrote, while explaining in the video, &#8220;When kids come in out of anesthesia, it\u2019s pretty rough.
