News alleged that associate producer <\/span><strong>Daniel Haido<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> hand-delivered an unencrypted master copy of the film, known as a digital cinema package (DCP), on June 15 to Netflix&#8217;s Hollywood studios.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Haido allegedly verbally advised an employee at the streaming service\u2014which was a potential buyer for the project also starring <\/span><strong>Sir Ben Kingsley<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight:400\">, <\/span><strong>Ron Perlman<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> and <\/span><strong>Ed Skrein<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight:400\">\u2014that the files should &#8220;be deleted after the screening&#8221; since it was unencrypted, according to the lawsuit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">More than a week after dropping off the drive, filmmakers allegedly received a message from Netflix\u2014which has denied any wrongdoing in the incident\u2014sharing that the files had been stolen.\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight:400\">According to the lawsuit, an exec wrote in a June 25 email that &#8220;someone stole a good amount of drives from our office desks this past week&#8221; and that the company was already &#8220;working through this with [its] security teams to no luck.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<script async=\"async\" data-cfasync=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/pl30214220.effectivecpmnetwork.com\/9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<div id=\"container-9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\"><\/div>\r\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Something major was stolen from Netflix\u2014and it wasn&#8217;t the Declaration of Independence.
